Description, details and additions of the system

Ich habe das System im Oktober 1998 bei Waibel (Anfang 2003 in Konkurs gegangen) als Komplettsystem gekauft. Damals noch mit Pentium II 400, Matrox Millennium G200, 128 MB RAM, 10 GB Seagate Festplatte. Mittlerweile ist davon nur noch das Gehäuse und das Floppy-Laufwerk übrig. Alles andere habe ich aktualisiert.
Eine Woche vor Ostern 2004 sind zwei Kondensatoren auf dem alten Chaintech-Board geplatzt, so dass ich gleich Board, CPU und RAM ausgetauscht habe.

Stromverbrauch: In Standby zieht der Rechner 31 Watt, im Idle-Mode (Windows-Desktop) 132 Watt und unter Vollast (3DMark05) 222 Watt.

Modifications / further information Das System war ursprünglich an den Seitenwänden mit Korkplatten ausgekleidet. Trotzdem hat das Gehäuse von Anfang an gebrummt. Irgendwann habe ich mir dann ein Dämmset von Blacknoise gekauft. Damit ist das lästige Gehäusebrummen endlich weg gewesen.
